I LOVE the illustrations of Lauren Child (she is well known for 'Charlie and Lola'). I recently saw a fantastic, interactive exhibition of her work designed for children. I find the way she layers textures, drawings and fabrics (most of which have meaning from her own life) really appealing.I want to touch the pictures (but am scared of leaving sticky fingerprints and ruining the beautiful graphicy, papery pristineness)
(A secret- shhhh...) I bought a book for me and pretended it was for my nearly-four-year-old daughter.
